Discerning Pre-Step 1 of 6

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

1. SEEK HIM! (Psalm 27:8; 105:4)

       

        This is God’s will for you now: Seeking to know and love Christ Jesus as the only Savior and Lord is the supreme purpose for your existence on this earth.

        This is not a one time event.  This is a lifestyle.

Y.B.H.?!? — Yeah, but how?!?

By regularly:

1. Reading and listening to, memorizing and meditating on His Word (Psalm 1). 

AND

2. Praying without ceasing (I Thessalonians 5:17).

 

Seeking the Spirit

To separate the Spirit of God from the Word of God is foolish.

      Christian meditation is not emptying our minds so that the Spirit of God can speak into us what His Will is.  True, Biblical meditation is filling our minds with the Scriptures so that the Spirit will speak to us through them.  Being radically dependent upon the Holy Spirit is being radically Biblical, and vise versa.
